1️⃣ It started in Ireland, not America!
The origin of Halloween can be traced back to the Celtic festival of Samhain, when people tried to ward off spirits from the otherworld.
2️⃣ Pumpkins weren't always carved!
The first "Jack O'Lanterns" were made from turnips and rutabagas – pumpkins were only adopted later in America.
3️⃣ "Trick or Treat" was initially about scaring.
Children used to sing songs or recite poems for sweets – if they didn't get any, a trick would follow!
